He came he saw...

Apols for the lack of any posts in recent weeks. Partly illness, partly busy with other stuff, largely because I feel anything I say will be left high and dry by the way political events are going in Britain. I've decided that, with the European/local elections on June 4th that it might be safer to leave things until after the results for them come out.

Suffice to say, I will be voting No2EU, Yes2Democracy on June 4th.

Wossup, Noel? Sorry you are ill. Get well soon.

Wondering whether to vote LibDem as they're snapping at Labour's heels. Do we have no2eu in Camden? I;m a bit worried aboujt them, having read the Weekly Worker report.

Had a persistent head cold...took a bit of shaking off, but I'm basically ok now. I think my body tried to convince itself it was really summer then got unstuck when it got colder!

For the Euro-elections...we all live in one big London mega-constituency. I'd take the Weekly Worker with a large pinch of salt. It's not like No2EU are the Kosova Liberation Army is it?(a bit of decade Leftie old-sectariana there!) One of the things about No2EU I like is the fact that it contains people who are serious about their socialism ie Dave Nellist, the RMT...Real Lefties as opposed to the Unreal Left of the SWP, AWOL and the Hee-Bee Gee-Bees, who try to numb us with their thought-terminating cliches.

No2EU also say that if elected they won't take their seats up in the European Parliament, which is a gravy train par excellence. In the current climate I think that's a pretty principled and popular stance to take. No2EU is only until June 4th. After the election it will stand down as a body, though I hope the elements brought together by it will keep in touch. After the next General Election, whether we have either a Tory mudslide or a Cameroonie/Lib Dem/Blairite 'National Government' to 'reform' us all to death we are going to need the Real Left working together.
